IC Saison 24

Our active ladies were promoted to National League C at the first attempt. After a flawless preliminary round, they beat Steffisburg, Burgdorf and Lido Lugano in three play-off matches and will play in the NLC in 2025. The powerful team with Petra Divisek, Lena and Lara Kuprianczyk, Anastasia Vasylenko, Aurora Disco, Linn Lehnen and Lia Scalambriono left nothing to be desired and clinched promotion with 6 wins. The men's 45+ league team also made it to the promotion round, but lost narrowly to a strong Dulligen team.
In addition to many 2nd places, 2 teams also had to fight against relegation. They were able to prevail and stay in the league.

Coaching offers, Kids Herbst Camp

You can also benefit from a comprehensive training programme this year. As every year, Tobias will be giving his group courses and Fiana, Aman and Ivan from the Plüss and Kaufmann tennis school will be offering individual and small group training. The descriptions and registration forms can be found in the appendix and will soon be available on the website under Training.

The Kids Autumn Camp will also take place again this year in October. You can register on the website under the "Training" section or write directly to fiana@tskp.ch

We are considering keeping pitch 8 open for training over the winter on a trial basis.

Juniors Trial Day

In the coming year, we will focus on our young members. Together with the Kaufmann & Plüss tennis school, we are therefore organising a trial day for children and young people aged between 6 and 18 on 8 Sept. 2024. There was a great response to the announcement and all seats were taken within a very short time. We hope that this will get more young people interested in tennis so that we will also have enough players in the lower age groups for our junior IC and active IC teams in the future.

Our active ladies have shown the way. We are sure that we still have a lot of talent, we just have to find and promote it.

Courts 9-10, New Indoor Courts Project Update

As discussed at AGM 2024, the Executive Board team led by Beat Brunold has conducted a feasibility study for a new indoor courts building. Various options were examined. We have carried out a detailed investigation into the most likely and also most cost-effective option and prepared a cost estimate +/- 20%. At the present time, we believe that realisation is possible with a planning and construction period of 2 years and external financing over approx. 8 years. What is still missing is a financing commitment for the necessary external funds. We are still working on a viable financing concept. Unfortunately, the company's active support is very limited due to the tight personnel situation and the strict financial policy in Basel.   

We will not be tackling the renovation of courts 9 and 10 this year and hope to be able to present an approvable plan, including financing options, by the 2025 AGM.

Membership Invoices 2025

This year, a significant number of the 2024 annual contributions were paid late or not at all. This caused unnecessary additional administrative work. Non-payers were subsequently deactivated and later their membership was also cancelled. The following procedure applies for next year:

• November: Invoicing incl. licence fee for the following year. Dispatch via email. Annual invoices can then be reliably queried in the profile on our website.
• January: 1st reminder for unpaid contributions with a deadline of 31 Jan
• February: 2nd reminder for unpaid fees with a deadline of 28 Feb and notification that membership will expire if payment is not received by 31 Mar, the person will be deactivated and any re-entry will be possible for internal members with a new admission fee and for external members only via the waiting list with a new admission fee.
• March: Membership will be cancelled if no payment is received.

Ballmaschine

The second ball machine has arrived. It is intended as a replacement when the first machine needs to be serviced or repaired. This should minimise downtime. As soon as a malfunction occurs, we can now replace the ball machine to ensure a smoother process. This means that the ball machine does not break down during a repair.
